Her Shell Breech

On the morn of the third rain of this brooding season, in the Aviary of the Mew of S’wa in its central Nestuary, all waited. Mong of the Bundestag of Goos, brother to Mont and Mon attended the hatching of Charon’s biddy. The chickalas to be unshelled was of another stalker of the Kin, one Mong admired. His reasons for being at the shell breech were apparent. The mother, the grandest of beauty, possessed the draw and allure of a rare and stellar sexual being, all anticipated that her broodette would hold similar traits; all expected a female for the twitter of egg suggested it. If female, when she turned adult, he planned to claim rights to her, rights that included any and all pleasures he might take. All expected it and understood.

“Welcome,” Murd said as each of the exaltation of witnesses entered the Nestuary, they resembling the anxious anticipation of larks, this gabble hustling with understood duty. The pre-hatchlings were always maneuvered to pillowed pedestals of moss and clover, idyllic images so celebrated. The slightest hint of cinnamon was apparent, yes, pleasant to all. Crystals were hung as suncatchers and provided rainbows throughout the area. However, this event, this day held uniqueness for there was but one broodette to be birthed.
